My name is Adam Saffron and I am Columbia Park Qualified Chef and Qualified Registered Nutritionist.
I look forward to bringing my personal experience and knowledge within both professions and being in charge. Looking after all the cooking for a large scale of children is of great advantage to me, as I love seeing children thrive at all stages of life.
Being a Qualified Registered Nutritionist, I advocate for the best in children’s health and wellbeing, adhering to legislation and current research which understands the importance of nutritional health in the early years. I have a thorough understanding of the ‘Eat for Health Program’ specially designed for child care services under the Australian dietary guidelines 2013.
I totally love all food, however, if I had to choose my top three, they would be as follow from some categories:
Fruit: Lychee, Mango and Blueberry
Vegetables: Cherry tomato, Broccolini and Eggplant
Grain: Couscous, Risotto and Wholemeal pasta
Protein: Lean red meat, wild caught salmon and chicken breast
Dairy: Hard cheese (parmesan, Romano), feta cheese and ricotta cheese
Herbs: Thyme, Basil and Parsley
Spice: Garlic cloves, Turmeric Root and Chili Bullets
Drink: Filtered water, Chamomile Tea and mint tea together, fresh orange and pomegranate juice
