I have been the 4 Year Old Kinder teacher at CPELC since 2012. I hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies and Diploma of Children Services. I have worked in the early childhood sector for over 30 years in various roles and am always continuously updating my knowledge and skills through Professional Development Seminars. My aim is to establish the foundations for each child's positive lifelong learning by nurturing children's holistic development whilst being a positive advocate for their rights; watching the children learn and develop in their own unique way, whilst also having fun!

I believe in creating a space where children feel safe, respected, and inspired to explore and discover at their own pace. I have been working at CPELC since 2006. My focus is watching children learn and grow by building on their skills that prepare them for the future. As an educator we play a big role in shaping who the children are and become.

I have worked at CPELC since 2023. I Completed my certificate III in early childhood whilst working at CPELC.. I have a creative and kind mindset which lead me to wanting to help educate children in their early stages of life. I love the imagination and happiness they beam with everyday, and love listening to how their little minds wander. In the future I am hoping to further study into kindergarten teaching in the hopes to share my creativity with others. I am currently loving my role at Columbia Park and am very grateful for the experience so far.

Our Program

We view children as capable, competent co contributors and acknowledge them as active participants in learning. The curriculum will incorporate integrated units, projects, concepts, group/individual work, and hands-on learning; focusing on their individual and group needs, and diverse learning styles, development, culture, interests, ideas, strengths and abilities as we work together with families to prepare the children for school.

As well as participating in a weekly bush Nature Explorers program, multiple incursions and excursions; such as traffic school, emergency services visits, science works, the museum and various walking excursions within the nearby community.
